JOB SUMMARY
The role focuses on selling solar energy products such as solar panels, transformers, and meters to both commercial and residential clients. The executive will not only target new business opportunities but also maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored technical solutions. Success in this role requires strong sales skills, technical acumen, and a thorough understanding of renewable energy products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and expand client base.
- Identify high-potential customer segments and industries that require solar energy solutions.
- Participate in the formulation of competitive pricing models to meet both company and client objectives.
- Build long-term, positive relationships with both new and existing customers by understanding their energy needs and delivering customized solar solutions.
- Conduct site visits to assess customer needs, recommend appropriate solar systems, and explain product benefits in detail.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle, including post-sales follow-up to address customer queries or concerns.
- Source, identify, and approach potential clients in targeted industries such as commercial buildings, industrial sectors, and residential projects.
- Research and generate new business leads, utilizing cold-calling, networking, and industry contacts.
- Attend relevant industry events, seminars, and conferences to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth product presentations and demonstrations tailored to the client's technical understanding.
- Prepare and present technical proposals and product quotations that align with client energy requirements and budgets.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions are feasible and effective.
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop key performance metrics (KPIs) for self-assessment and reporting to management on progress.
- Regularly monitor sales pipelines and forecasts, ensuring transparency and timely follow-ups on leads.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor products.
- Provide feedback to management on evolving market demands and suggest new product development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities using CRM software.
- Prepare detailed reports on client interactions, sales forecasts, market analysis, and performance reviews for presentation to senior management.
- Ensure all documentation and contracts are completed in compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in any field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Technical Sales, with a focus on renewable energy products such as solar panels, transformers, or meters.
- Proven experience in sourcing, closing, and managing business within a target-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience working with solar energy systems and a solid understanding of how they function.
